Quick Pickled Red Onions
Serves: 8–10
Ingredients
- 1 medium red onion, thinly sliced
- Juice of 2 limes
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
Directions
- Place sliced onion in a bowl.
- Add lime juice, vinegar, and sea salt.
- Mix well and gently squeeze the onions to help soften them.
- Let sit for 20–30 minutes before serving.
Ready When
- Onions turn bright pink
- Texture softens but still has a little crunch
- Flavor is tangy and balanced
