CSA Staff Favorite from Turnpaugh Health
½ cup quinoa
1 cup almond milk
1 tbsp cocoa powder
¼ tsp salt
2 tbsp maple syrup
¼ tsp vanilla extract
Sliced strawberries, for topping
Sliced almonds, for topping
In a small pot with a lid, toast quinoa over medium heat for 2–3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until lightly golden and fragrant.
Slowly pour in almond milk and bring to a gentle boil. Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let sit (covered) for 2–3 more minutes.
Stir in cocoa powder, salt, maple syrup, and vanilla until creamy and smooth.
Spoon into a bowl and top with sliced strawberries and almonds.
Optional: Add berries or nut-free toppings for variety.
Serve warm and enjoy a chocolatey, nourishing start to your day!
