Karrie Billets
Functional Nutrition Coach, Mechanicsburg

Nutrition Health Coach & Certified Personal Trainer | Mechanicsburg

Karrie Billets believes nutrition is not just what’s on your plate — it’s what you speak, think, and surround yourself with. That philosophy shapes everything about how she coaches, and it’s what makes her approach to functional nutrition feel different from anything most patients have experienced before.

Clinical Focus

  • Digestive & Gut Health
  • Thyroid Disease & Metabolic Health
  • Obesity & Weight Management
  • Functional Nutrition & Lifestyle Medicine
  • Gastrointestinal Disorders
  • Healthy Habit & Behavior Change

Education & Experience

Karrie is certified through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and the American Council on Exercise, with additional specialized training in gastrointestinal disorders through the University of California San Francisco and obesity and weight management through Arapahoe College in Denver. She has also completed Health Coach Mastering Functional Blood Chemistry and coursework through the School of Applied Functional Medicine — giving her the ability to connect nutritional strategy directly to lab findings in a way most health coaches are not trained to do.

Areas of Expertise

Karrie works with patients to build sustainable nutritional and lifestyle frameworks grounded in functional medicine principles. Her particular depth in gut health, thyroid disease, and metabolic health allows her to address the dietary dimensions of conditions that sit at the core of what Turnpaugh Health treats. She has a gift for translating complex functional nutrition into practical, real-life meal strategies that busy people can actually follow.

Professional Contributions

Karrie holds certifications from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, the American Council on Exercise, and has completed advanced training through the School of Applied Functional Medicine and UCSF. She continues to expand her functional nutrition knowledge alongside the clinical team at Turnpaugh Health.

Personal Life

Karrie spent 32 years living in Colorado — and it shows. Hiking, biking, skiing, and nature photography are her natural habitat. You’ll also find her in the kitchen putting together quick, simple, and genuinely delicious meals that prove healthy eating doesn’t have to be complicated. She loves sharing those recipes and tips with her patients.

Health Habits

  • Hiking, Biking & Skiing
  • Nature Photography & Outdoor Exploration
  • Cooking Whole, Nutrient-Dense Meals
  • Mindful Living & Intentional Lifestyle Practices

Karrie’s coaching is built on a simple idea: when the right food, habits, and mindset come together, the body tends to do what it was designed to do.
