Janine Corbett
Functional Nutrition Coach, Manheim, EWSC

Functional Nutrition & Health Coach | Strasburg

Janine Fink didn’t find functional nutrition — she built her entire academic and professional life around it before it had a name in most circles. From creating her own major in Preventive Health at Hofstra to culinary school in Manhattan to clinical nutrition work at Dartmouth Health, every step has been intentional and pointed in the same direction: using food as medicine.

Clinical Focus

  • Functional Nutrition & Lifestyle Medicine
  • Preventive Health & Behavior Change
  • Therapeutic & Healing Diets
  • Wellness Coaching & Habit Formation
  • Culinary Nutrition & Food as Medicine
  • Holistic Wellness Planning

Education & Experience

Janine created her own undergraduate major in Preventive Health and Wellness Communication at Hofstra University — a move that set the tone for everything that followed. She went on to earn a Diploma in Health-Supportive Culinary Arts from the Institute of Culinary Education in Manhattan, externed at the award-winning destination spa The Lodge at Woodloch, and collaborated with dietitians at Dartmouth Health personalizing therapeutic diets for patients at nutritional risk. She holds her Master of Science in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine from the University of Western States, is a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach through the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy, and is a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) eligible candidate currently completing her 1,000 hours of advanced supervised practice.

Areas of Expertise

Janine works at the intersection of clinical nutrition, functional medicine, and culinary arts — a combination that is genuinely rare. She understands how to translate the science of nutrition into food that people actually want to eat and habits they can actually sustain. Her coaching experience spans clients of all ages, including adolescents through her work with Camp ENERGY, a nonprofit focused on healthy behavior change in youth at risk of preventable lifestyle conditions.

Professional Contributions

Janine is an alumni member of the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy and brings clinical nutrition experience from Dartmouth Health Medical Center to her work at Turnpaugh Health. Her background working alongside nationally recognized chefs and leading dietitians gives her a perspective on food and healing that bridges the kitchen and the clinic.

Personal Life

Janine grew up on Long Island, spent time living and working in New England, and landed in Pennsylvania with a love of the outdoors that has followed her everywhere. When she’s not working with patients, she’s snowboarding, hiking, or finding her next culinary adventure. She is someone who genuinely believes that how you eat, move, and live are inseparable — and she brings that conviction into every patient relationship.

Health Habits

  • Snowboarding & Hiking
  • Whole Food & Culinary Exploration
  • Mindful Living & Intentional Nutrition
  • Outdoor Adventure & Nature

Janine co-creates wellness with her patients — because the best plan is always the one the patient actually owns.
