Meet Jackie Schultz, PA-C
"I came in because I woke up sick and Jackie was amazing! I love that she has both the ER background and can also talk to me about all of my hormone issues and general health as well. So thankful to have found her!"
Jackie Schultz, PA-C
Integrative Medicine, Urgent Care Physician Assistant
Integrative Family Medicine Physician Assistant | Strasburg
Jackie Schultz didn’t arrive at functional medicine by accident. She came through the ER — years at UPMC Memorial and Lancaster General — where she learned to read the body under pressure. That clinical sharpness never left her. What changed was the question she started asking: not what’s wrong right now, but why did this happen, and how do we stop it from happening again.
Clinical Focus
- Women’s Health & Hormonal Balance
- Metabolic Syndrome & Thyroid Dysfunction
- Gut Health & Microbiome Restoration
- Autoimmune Conditions
- Lyme Disease & Co-infections
- Preventive & Integrative Family Medicine
Education & Experience Jackie earned her undergraduate degree in Spanish and International Studies from Northern Illinois University, working with communities across the US and internationally before pursuing medicine. She completed her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at Penn State College of Medicine in 2016. Her ER foundation gives her something rare in integrative medicine — the ability to spot serious pathology early, ask harder clinical questions, and know exactly when to escalate. She joined Turnpaugh Health in 2023 and continues to deepen her training in functional and integrative medicine.
What She’s Known For Jackie has a particular depth in women’s hormonal health — guiding patients through perimenopause, menopause, thyroid imbalance, and the kind of hormonal chaos that too often gets dismissed or mismanaged. She approaches autoimmune conditions and gut dysfunction the same way: systematically, with attention to root cause, not just symptom suppression. Her background in community health and culture informs how she listens — she understands that environment, relationships, and stress are not soft factors. They are clinical factors.
Personal Life Jackie lives in Lancaster with her husband, three kids, and their dog. Outside the office, you’ll find her hiking, practicing hot yoga, sitting in an infrared sauna, or teaching children’s yoga — which she is certified to do. She travels, makes time for music and art, and believes that a full life is part of good medicine. Her patients tend to feel that in the room.
Health Habits

Jackie’s philosophy is simple: the goal is a healthy host, not just the absence of disease. If you’re looking for someone who will take your symptoms seriously, dig into the why, and build a real plan — Jackie is that provider.
Jackie believes healthcare is about keeping a healthy host — not just treating disease. For her patients, that distinction makes all the difference.
