Meet Heather Horst
Heather Horst
Cranial Sacral Therapist, Massage Therapist, Registered Nurse
With 28 years of experience in clinical bodywork, Heather Horst specializes in CranioSacral Therapy (CST) and Positional Release Therapy (PRT). These gentle, hands-on modalities promote ease, alignment, and freedom of movement—ideal for addressing chronic pain, migraines, and tension-related issues.
Modalities & Treatments:
CranioSacral Therapy (CST):
CST is a light-touch therapy that involves gentle pressure—about the weight of a nickel. It’s a highly effective treatment for conditions like migraines, TMJ, chronic pain, and stress-related tension. CST is also beneficial for individuals who prefer a non-invasive approach and is safe for infants, especially those with feeding issues or reflux.
Positional Release Therapy (PRT):
A form of neuromuscular therapy (also known as Strain-Counterstrain), PRT targets tender spots in the body. Through careful positioning, tension is released spontaneously, alleviating pain and promoting healing.
Both CST and PRT draw from traditional Osteopathic Manual Therapy, focusing on gentle, non-forceful techniques to help your body heal naturally.
Preparing for Your Session:
To get the most out of your treatment, please:
-
Arrive fragrance-free: We provide fragrance-free personal care products for your convenience.
-
Dress comfortably: Stretchy, lightweight clothing like leggings or gym shorts works best. You may bring clothing to change into if needed.
-
Hydrate: Drink plenty of water before your session to help with the integration of the therapy.
-
Plan a light day: After your session, give your body time to absorb the changes by taking it easy.
