Erika Lundgren is a functional medicine nutritionist with an outright passion for helping individuals create their thrive in life. She was born and raised in Manheim, PA, and has recently moved back to the area after 13 years living in Charleston, SC. She obtained her master of science in Clinical Nutrition from the Maryland University of Integrative Health and has always believed that food is the universal thread that brings us all together. After winning her battle with Leukemia, she experienced firsthand that food can truly be medicine.
She has worn many hats in the wellness field, including Clemson SNAP-Ed’s virtual health educator where she helped guide behavioral change within the SNAP-Ed populations by creating nutrition and wellness content, cooking videos, and served as the lead social media campaign coordinator in an effort to promote water consumption and less sugar-sweetened beverages within the communities.
One of Erika’s favorite hats she wears, one that she has worn since the ripe age of 5, is being a dancer. She has spent countless hours performing on stage both professionally and for pure enjoyment. Over the years, she has stepped into an educator, choreographer, and tap crew director role where she has helped motivate students of all ages to move beyond their perceived obstacles in dance to help increase their physical and emotional well-being.
Fun facts about Erika … Her golden retriever, Marli, is her fur baby. She moved back to the area for love. She loves learning, internal growth, and being silly. Nature is her muse. Her friends rock. She wouldn’t be anywhere without her parents. She loves to cook and zone out with music on her headphones. She is currently working towards her advanced credentialing, Certified Nutrition Specialist, through the American Nutrition Association as well as becoming a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. And, of course, she absolutely loves food!
