Meet David Porcaro, DC

David Porcaro, DC
Functional Medicine, Chiropractor, Strasburg

Chiropractic, Rehabilitation & Functional Medicine | Strasburg

Patients know him as Dr. Dave — and after 25 years in practice, that says something. Dr. David Porcaro brings a straightforward philosophy to every patient: chiropractic, exercise, and nutrition working together. Not one without the others.

Clinical Focus

  • Chiropractic & Rehabilitative Care
  • Functional Medicine
  • Childhood Development & Pediatric Care
  • Neurodevelopmental Conditions
  • Nutrition & Metabolic Health
  • Whole-Person Wellness

Education & Experience

Dr. Dave graduated from Rutgers College with a Bachelor’s in Biology and earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College. His post-graduate training is extensive: 300 hours in chiropractic rehabilitation, 200 hours in the Brain Balance certificate program, 100 hours of Apex Energetics functional medicine training, completion of Functional Medicine University, and 300 hours toward his Nutrition Diplomate. That’s well over 900 hours of advanced training beyond his degree — and it shows in the breadth of what he can address clinically.

Areas of Expertise

Dr. Dave’s three-legged approach — chiropractic, exercise, and nutrition — is simple in concept and clinically rigorous in practice. His background in childhood development and Brain Balance programming makes him particularly effective with pediatric and neurodevelopmental cases, an area most functional medicine providers don’t address with this depth.

Professional Contributions

Dr. Dave has invested hundreds of hours in continuing education across rehabilitation, functional medicine, nutrition, and childhood development — reflecting a practitioner who takes the obligation to keep learning seriously.

Personal Life

Dr. Dave is a New Jersey native with a big family and two boys, Luke and Daniel, who take up most of his time outside the office — and he wouldn’t have it any other way. He loves to cook and tends a greenhouse year-round, which feels entirely on brand for someone whose clinical philosophy centers on nutrition and whole-body health.

Health Habits

  • Cooking & Whole Food Preparation
  • Year-Round Greenhouse Gardening
  • Exercise & Movement
  • “Bikers in Christ” organization

Dr. Dave’s approach has stayed consistent for 25 years because it works: treat the whole person, address the root cause, and give the body what it needs to heal.
