Meet David Porcaro, DC

David Porcaro, DC
Functional Medicine, Chiropractor, Strasburg

Chiropractic, Rehabilitation & Functional Medicine | Strasburg

Patients know him as Dr. Dave — and after 25 years in practice, that says something. Dr. David Porcaro’s philosophy is straightforward: chiropractic, exercise, and nutrition work together. Not one without the others. It’s a three-legged approach that’s simple in concept and clinically rigorous in practice, and it’s what he’s built his career around.

Clinical Focus

  • Chiropractic & Rehabilitative Care
  • Gut Health & Microbiome Balance
  • Endocrine Disorders — women’s hormones, men’s hormones, adrenal, thyroid
  • Autoimmune Conditions
  • Chronic Fatigue & Brain Fog
  • Cardiovascular Disease
  • Lyme Disease
  • Childhood Developmental Disorders — ADHD, Autism, PANS/PANDAS
  • Nutrition & Metabolic Health

Education & Experience

Dr. Dave graduated from Rutgers College with a Bachelor’s in Biology and earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College. What sets him apart is what came after: 300 hours in chiropractic rehabilitation, 200 hours in the Brain Balance certificate program, 100 hours of Apex Energetics functional medicine training, completion of Functional Medicine University, and 300 hours toward his Nutrition Diplomate — well over 900 hours of advanced training that shows in the breadth of what he addresses clinically.

Areas of Expertise

His background in childhood development and Brain Balance programming makes him particularly effective with pediatric and neurodevelopmental cases — an area most functional medicine providers don’t address with this depth. Combine that with his work in hormones, autoimmune conditions, gut health, and cardiovascular disease, and you have a provider who can follow a patient across a wide range of complex, interconnected concerns.

Professional Contributions

Dr. Dave has invested hundreds of hours beyond his degree in continuing education across rehabilitation, functional medicine, nutrition, and childhood development — the kind of ongoing commitment that reflects a practitioner who takes learning seriously long after school is over.

Personal Life

Dr. Dave is a New Jersey native with a big family and two boys, Luke and Daniel, who take up most of his time outside the office — and he wouldn’t have it any other way. He loves to cook, tends a greenhouse year-round, and rides with the Bikers in Christ organization. It all feels entirely on brand for someone whose clinical philosophy centers on nourishing the whole person.

Health Habits

  • Whole Food Nutrition & Cooking
  • Strength Training & Walking
  • Year-Round Greenhouse Gardening
  • Sleep as a Clinical Priority
  • Bible Reading, Prayer & Meditation
  • Yoga
  • Wind Therapy — riding his motorcycle

Treat the whole person. Address the root cause. Give the body what it needs to heal.
