Andrew Crimmel studied at the University of Pennsylvania, where he worked in the Psychology and Psychiatry departments. He received his Master of Science degree at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, where he studied Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the international scientific standard for the practice of acupuncture. During his graduate work, he studied with Chinese, Japanese, and Korean practitioners and focused on Japanese-style acupuncture during his internships. His style is eclectic, combining Chinese and Japanese ideas and techniques while staying grounded in his knowledge of conventional Western science. Andrew has been studying the martial arts, including Taiqi and Qigong, for over 30 years. He is nationally certified by the NCCAOM to practice both acupuncture and herbal medicine and was the third practitioner in Pennsylvania to qualify for L.OM licensure status, enabling him to practice the full spectrum of traditional Chinese medicine.
