Dr. Christa Whiteman graduated with a B.S. in Biochemistry from Messiah College in 2002 and graduated Summa Cum Laude from New York Chiropractic College in 2007. Her passion for nutrition as the fundamental building block of our bodies- and good health- led her to study Biochemistry. Following this achievement, she knew she wanted to apply this knowledge in a tangible way that helped improve people’s day-to-day lives by continuing her medical education, choosing to go to Chiropractic college for the ethos of affecting healing without the use of drugs or surgery. Following graduation, she was introduced to Functional Medicine when her mother became a patient of Dr. Turnpaugh’s. For 16 years, she maintained a private practice in New York utilizing chiropractic care, functional medicine, and clinical herbalism to help her patients have less pain, more energy, and feel better from chronic pain, autoimmune disease, and hormone imbalances. After years of solo practice, she joined Turnpaugh Health & Wellness in 2023 to be part of a cutting-edge, integrated care team. Dr. Christa is especially passionate about supporting women’s health, particularly women struggling with hypothyroidism, PCOS, and Celiac disease.
Dr. Christa lives in Lancaster with her husband and two cats (now that she is no longer allergic, thanks to LDI!) Outside of the office, she enjoys strength training, practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, archery, bow hunting, and making tasty messes in the kitchen.
