✅ DR. ALEX MARCHEGIANI, DC — Revised Bio

Functional Medicine & Chiropractic | Enola

Dr. Alex Marchegiani came to chiropractic and functional medicine by way of cardiac rehab, pulmonary rehabilitation, and operative surgery — a clinical path that gave him a working understanding of the body most chiropractors simply don’t have. He uses all of it, every day, to find what’s actually driving his patients’ problems.

Clinical Focus

  • Musculoskeletal & Chronic Pain
  • Hormonal Dysfunction & Adrenal Health
  • Autoimmune Conditions
  • Metabolic Disorders & Weight Management
  • Lyme Disease & Co-Infections
  • Functional Immunology

Education & Experience

Dr. Alex earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst before going on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic. Before chiropractic school, he worked as an exercise physiologist in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation at a Massachusetts hospital and later served as an operative surgical assistant — two roles that gave him an unusually grounded clinical perspective before he ever saw a functional medicine patient. He has since completed advanced training through the Kalish Institute of Functional Medicine and Cogence Functional Immunology.

Areas of Expertise

Dr. Alex works across musculoskeletal health, hormonal dysfunction, immune function, and chronic disease — integrating biomarker analysis, nutrition, and lifestyle intervention into care plans built around each patient’s specific picture. His background in exercise physiology adds a layer of performance and rehabilitation thinking that informs his functional medicine work in a meaningful way.

Professional Contributions

Dr. Alex has completed advanced functional medicine training through the Kalish Institute of Functional Medicine and Cogence Functional Immunology and remains actively engaged in continuing education to stay current with advancements in the field.

Personal Life

Dr. Alex grew up just north of Boston, the second youngest of three siblings and an identical twin. He played football and lacrosse growing up and competed in alpine ski racing. He lives an active life with his wife Paige and their two cats, Cheddar and Willow, and spends his time hiking, skiing, cooking, and reading personal development literature. He is also Ross’s brother, making the Marchegiani brothers a two-provider presence at Turnpaugh Health.
