Dr. Chris Turnpaugh is a leading figure in functional medicine, with a career dedicated to addressing the root causes of chronic and complex health conditions. As the founder and President of Turnpaugh Health & Wellness Center, he has cultivated a practice centered on integrative, patient-focused care that goes beyond merely treating symptoms. He founded Turnpaugh Health in 1999 and was at the forefront of the functional medicine movement.
Education & Experience:
Dr. Turnpaugh earned his degree from Bloomsburg University, Life College of Chiropractic, Carrick Institute, American Academy of Anti-Aging and Aesthetics Medicine, and the Institute for Functional Medicine. He holds a post-doctorate certification in functional neurology. While his background includes chiropractic care, his primary focus today is on functional medicine. He specializes in the use of advanced diagnostics and personalized treatment plans that integrate nutrition, lifestyle medicine, and functional lab analysis to support patients dealing with autoimmune diseases, neurological disorders, thyroid issues, and other chronic conditions. He recently completed the coursework for his fellowship in Anti-Aging and Lifestyle Medicine from A4M.
