Meet Deanna Albert

Deanna Albert
Functional Nurse Nutrition Coach, Manheim

Functional Nurse Nutrition Coach | Manheim · Mechanicsburg

Deanna’s path to functional medicine wound through kinesiology, personal training, emergency nursing, and five years as an IV infusion therapist — all of it pointing toward the same thing: helping people build real, lasting health from the inside out. As Turnpaugh Health’s Nutrition Nurse Health Coach, she brings clinical depth and genuine coaching instinct to every patient she works with.

Clinical Focus

  • Women’s Health
  • Sports Nutrition & Recovery
  • Performance for Real Life — helping busy adults stay strong, energized, and able to keep up with their lives without burnout or injury
  • Gut Health & Microbiome Balance
  • Pediatric Functional Medicine

Education & Experience

Deanna earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Penn State University before completing Penn State’s accelerated BSN program. She spent a year in medical-surgical nursing followed by six years in emergency medicine — a clinical background that sharpened her ability to assess quickly and think systemically. She joined Turnpaugh Health as an IV Infusion Nurse for five years before transitioning into her current role as Nutrition Nurse Health Coach, integrating blood work, diet, supplementation, lifestyle medicine, and coaching into a cohesive approach to patient wellness.

Areas of Expertise

Deanna works at the intersection of clinical nursing and health coaching — combining lab analysis, nutritional strategy, and lifestyle support in a way that’s both evidence-based and practically sustainable. Her background in personal training and health coaching means she understands what it actually takes to change behavior, not just what the research says about it.

Professional Contributions

Deanna is an active member of the Manheim and Mechanicsburg teams at Turnpaugh Health, collaborating closely with providers to support patients through the behavioral and nutritional dimensions of their care plans.

Personal Life

Deanna competes in ice hockey, runs, and cycles — and when she’s not competing she’s out on some kind of adventure with her husband, kids, and German Shepherd. She is someone who genuinely lives the performance and vitality principles she coaches her patients on.
