Deanna went to Pennsylvania State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with hopes of becoming a Physical Therapist until she realized that was not the right path for her. She spent a few years doing personal training and health coaching which caused her to become more interested in the health sciences. After consideration, she decided to attend Penn State University to complete their accelerated BSN program.
Upon graduating, Deanna worked as a medical-surgical nurse for one year before making the switch to emergency medicine. She worked in the emergency room for six years before realizing she needed to make the switch to integrative medicine.
As an infusion therapist at Turnpaugh Health and Wellness Center, she loves being able to work alongside a team that sees the patient as center and helps them develop healthy behaviors and skills that they can use throughout their lives, making it possible to return to wellness. “Health is a state of the body. Wellness is a state of being.” J.Stanford
In her free time, Deanna loves being active inside and outside. A few activities she enjoys most are playing ice hockey, running and cycling. When not competing competitively, she loves getting into adventures with her husband, kids, and German Sheperd.
