Acupuncture is used to correct imbalances in the flow of energy, also known as our chi or qi. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, it’s believed that our chi flows through pathways in our bodies called meridians, which correlate to both nerve stimulation and various ailments. This is done by inserting fine, sterile needles into your skin, effectively stimulating specific anatomic sites, more commonly known as acupoints.
"I have always ridden the line of wondering if I am anxious at times or have actual anxiety. The blood work that the doctors run, coupled with diet changes and supplements, have made improvements in my life that I feel everyday and my family recognizes as well. I see Dr. Andrew Crimmel for Acupuncture every three weeks. It keeps me grounded, less anxious and my sleep and mood are drastically improved because of his care. I can absolutely recommend acupuncture to help with health. "Heather
Acupuncture promotes your body’s natural self-healing process to relieve pain, and improve sleep, digestion, and emotional well-being.
Our acupuncturist will make sure you are relaxed and comfortable before beginning the procedure. He will then insert fine needles into your skin in order to stimulate specific pressure points, or acupoints. The number of needles you get, the placement of these needles, and how deeply they are inserted into your skin varies depending on your specific needs. Your initial appointment will be 90 minutes. Each subsequent appointment will be scheduled as necessary and will be one hour long.
