Here at Turnpaugh Health and Wellness, we value the body, mind and spirit connection and are happy to announce that we will begin to offer a Restorative Yoga Class twice a month on Monday evenings.
What is Restorative Yoga?
Restorative Yoga is unique yoga practice that will promote optimal health. It is mind-body medicine that decreases the fight or flight response our overly stressed bodies experience in our day to day lives. By practicing stillness, our body is given the opportunity to experience deep relaxation which then promotes healing. Restorative Yoga uses blankets, bolsters, blocks and eye pillows to fully support your body in poses that are held a little longer; allowing the body to be fully supported and making your muscles able to relax. Most people have no idea how good their body is supposed to feel. No experience is necessary and every body is welcome.
Please bring a yoga mat, a blanket and dress in comfy clothes.
This practice will focus on ease and release that will recalibrate your nervous system and will leave you refreshed, restored, replenished, relaxed and nourished.
